Domestic Bliss in our 2x2.5m Home
Those that know us would say we are a tight couple me and Dave, we do most things together and are very happy with each others’ company, BUT this has been tested at times over the last couple of weeks. The living area is 2x2.5m and includes a shower/toilet cubicle, stove top, fridge, bench seats, table and cupboards; so the actual floor area is about 1x2m. So there is definitely NOT enough room for Dave to leave his boots and trainers on the floor together with his enormous camera box. Nor is there room for the three layers of clothing he strips off throughout the morning as the sun and temperatures rise AND if he leaves the toilet seat up one more time………..
Dave seems blissfully unaware of any problem and thinks it is great that he can open the fridge and retrieve a beer from any seat in the house, it takes one sweep of the broom to clean the floor and he is surrounded by all his climbing equipment and ‘toys’.
He is however always first up in the morning, switches on the furnace to take the morning chill away and hands me a warm drink as I remain buried under the blankets and sleeping bags, so all is forgiven, except that seat!
