We have worked hard as a team for 30 years, it is now time to live the life we have dreamed of....from the office to the road...

“To move, to breathe, to fly, to float,
To gain all while you give,
To roam the roads of lands remote,
To travel is to live.”

Hans Christian Anderson

Since discovering in my early twenties that you didn't have to choose a 'package holiday' I have been a triptomaniac, had a need to always have a trip booked or at the very least on the drawing board.

After working in an office for 15 years, I finally escaped to the outdoors, retrained and worked as a landscape gardener.  The gloves may have been hung up, but I will continue to discover the enormous range of flora whilst on my travels.

My love of the mountains began on childhood holidays to the Lake District, was nurtured in the Scottish Highlands and became a passionate love affair in the French Alps; an affair which has taken me to Canada, Europe, Mongolia, Nepal, New Zealand, North, South and Central America.

Our new adventure, as we move onto a new chapter of our lives, for me is not just a trip from A to B, but a chance to push my boundaries, live amongst and contribute to local communities, take time to get to know a place, be at one with nature and take only photos and leave only footsteps

My Passion for travel was probably nurtured as I moved around the world because my Father worked in the oil industry.  I think I was born with a love of adventure and time in the armed forces certainly grew that. I have always enjoyed a trip more when there has been a tangible purpose, setting out to climb a mountain or canoe a river makes the experience for me. It also enables me to photograph the most beautiful places, brings me into contact with amazing people and creates the funniest and exciting situations.
Like a lot of guys I enjoy tinkering with new 'kit' and having spent the last 25 years working as a software engineer my curiosity has been satisfied, now, as I transition to a life of travel and adventure it will be discovering what the best and lightest stove is or how long a power cell will last that will keep the curiosity burning.

A TRIPTOMANIAC has a mental disorder that compels them to travel. Unlike a normal traveller, who will journey because they want or need to, a triptomaniac does it for the sheer fun and thrill.
